If you're under 25, I wouldn't. It's too early to invest big bucks in "lifetime" clothes. By this I mean things like an impressive business wardrobe (jacket, blazer, skirts, cashmere sweater vests, etc) or that ONE really really good "little black dress" that costs two weeks' pay. Your shape and size are still changing, and this stuff won't fit you in 10 years.

If you mean, should you try to keep up with fashion and buy the latest chic and trendy items, I think it's a waste of money. Most guys don't even notice whether something is "out of style", so why bother? Remember, the more something is "in", the more quickly and definitely it will be "dated" next year.

Maybe you would rather put that money aside for a car, or even for the down payment on a house. If you can set aside $10K before you are 25 years old, because of interest, it will be worth more than the $30K you set aside in your 30s. Get to know the consignment and thrift shops in your area. Check the sales and retailers like Lands' End and Sierra Trading Post. And put the money you save in the bank.

Trust me, in 2 years no one will even remember that fabulous outfit you now want to blow you paycheck on. Fashion magazines are just a trap to make you buy things you can easily do without.

Every person who has money needs to build a budget. Clothes are a necessity, just like food is. Haven't you ever heard the adage, 'clothes make the man'? Its true for everyone. Buy wisely.

You could, or you could have a go at making your own using patterns and old clothes or new material. Saves some money, but it's a bit fiddly and needs practice. Has the added benefit of making your style unique though.

Not all your money, if you need to renew your clothing or getting a special invitation, spend part of $, but not all.

it depends. if you do have extra money and you dont have any responsibilities just yourself then why not? if that's the way to pamper yourself. but if you do have kids or responsibilities.. then if you but clothes, be practical. Generally dont spend money on clothes just your "extra money", then if you have big salary.. why not? its really up to you!

The very fact that you are asking this question leads me to think that you probably have a reason why you shouldn't. Think about it.
