it will depend on the type of brick engineering brick in not as porous i raked out all the joints scraped but in the end had to re paint there is a disc you fit to an angle grinder but you are going to remove the surface of the brick this may give you even more problems especially if you are in a frost ares build new wall use imitation brick the look like brick tiles getting the paint off is relatively easy getting the dye out is difficult be careful not to be in a bigger mess

I have seen people use a special heat it almost look s like a hair dryer it is not ask home depot ,and it peels right off with a scraper .

My best guess is paint stripper, caustic soda or hydrochloric acid. brush on then use water pressure washer to clean off bricks.

Try using paint brush cleaner. Rub it in with a brush ,leave for a while then rinse it off.

The other day i sprayed Cif Lemon cream spray on my (gloss) paintwork and it bubbled up and peeled off!!!! Try that!

Its very difficult! best bet is go out and hire a sand blaster. or if its a small wall lots of sand paper
