Wow, from your question I think your system is probably under protected.

First things first, you need a firewall and an anti-virus, but only ONE of each.

Now for the anti-malware programs. There are many good, free ones out there. But sadly one isn't enough and some work better in conjunction with others.

Here are some good ones that I use (and they all play nicely together! :) )

These two work better together than either of them does alone:
Spybot Search and Destroy

a-squared (specifically deals with Trojans and worms etc.)

Download it at

download the update file at
http://updates.ls-servers.com/public/defs.zip

1. Install the program.

2. unzip the update file and copy the definitions file to the Program folder. (ex- C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad Aware SE Personal\ ) Click yes to overwrite.

3. Do a Full System Scan.

dont get the yahoo toolbar and dont go to norton every 1 knos norton is crap go to trendmicro and just do the free scan its better
