Probably she has some hearing problem. Talk to her and make sure if she needs any medical attention.

Some people just don't understand that you can speak to someone without having the rest of the room hear. I have friends that are like that too. No matter how often you ask them to tone down their voice, it really won't work. If this person is really your friend, just let her be herself. The loud obnocious person that you obviously liked enough to talk to in the first place. She won't change, and you probably shouldn't ask her to. It's in her personality.

I feel that most people speak loudly because they want to be the center of attention.

1. she must be surrounded by ppl who talk loudly..
3. she might be hearing less... which leads to her talking loudly..
4. that might be the way she is.... you can tell her to speak softly.. she might not like it if you tell her this up straight... you have to munipilate the truth and tell her something like " i love it when yo u are on low tone and all amazing" :)

My son had 3 sets of tubes placed in his ear, and suffers from slight hearing loss. He does not realize that he is being loud. He is only 9.

SPEAKING FOR MYSELF, I AM DEAF IN ONE EAR AND HARD OF HEARING IN THE OTHER EAR. I SPEAK LOUDLY BECAUSE I CANNOT HEAR MYSELF TO JUDGE HOW LOUD I AM. SO TO COMPENSATE I TALK LOUDER SO I CAN HEAR. VERY COMMON AMONG THE HEARING IMPAIRED.
