I'm white and have used the term "white boy" when a guy who's a good friend does something really lame like a stupid dance or trying to act like he's cooler than he is. So in other words trying to act like a "Brother" which I is a term I use with my black friends, but they have to be friends in order to do it. It's like calling my sisters' "bitches" I would never do it as a slur; it's a term of endearment like when my big, black gay friend (whom I call Big, Black, Gay Jerry) calls me his over 40 fag hag. But I do have to say that we're sensitive to it (really we are) If Jerry was hurting my focus would be taking care of him and the names would go out the window. And when we do it, it's said with a sense of humor, but we're all on the same page by the time that anyone would get to the point where they could say those things. And yes, I'm attracted to other races all the time, but I truly believe we're all the essentially the same and we have to be or act as a unified species in order to survive.

I think that because people are different they take things in different ways and some people you could be free with and joke around like that and others would easily be offended. I myself am not easily offended and I am black and almost all of my friends are white. I dont use nicknames like whitey or honkey etc and they dont use nicknames like ****** or ***** or however you want to spell it with me. we do have racial conversations but nothing that I am offended by or they are offended by. I think world does not have enough respect and that is why we have the problems that we do. If we would just respect each other for who they are and what they believe and move on this would be a better place to live. And yes I think I could be attracted to someone from another race if they were my match.

First you should get to know someone before calling them anything out of fun. I've found that if you get to know them, and allow them to get to know you.
They'll know it's a joke, and it won't bother them in the least. No matter what you say. I think today, people are more sensitive than they need to be concerning race,or culture. For instance. I'm Scottish,do you know how copper wire was invented?
Two Scotsmen fighting over a penny. Self depricating humor is a good way to insure nobody else gets offended when it comes their time to be joked with.

You cannot take prejudism from someone, but you can educate them about what they don't know. People's ignorance is the cause of hate. Now if your black friend calls you "whitey", he or she may not mean it in a derogatory way, but to everyone else, it still means just that, hate. My opinion on race: As long as people separate themselves or classify themselves as a "different" whether be it race, or religion, or color, language, etc. we will never eradicate hate. And yes, I am constantly attracted to the so called other races.

I'm one of those kinds of people that will say nearly anything to anyone. It isn't that I mean it to insult, quite the contrary. I feel free to say anything because I know I'm not out to offend anyone. If someone takes offense to what I say, that is an issue in their own mind. Too many people are too quick to take offense to every little thing anyone says or does. Likewise, too many people are afraid to speak plainly about obvious things such as race. I am white. Most of my coworkers are black. None of us have any qualms about calling me the whitest person there, nor do I hesitate to tell them something they said is too "black" for me to understand. We all know we aren't out to insult anyone.
As far as people belonging to a culture, I actually do think that, although not in the racial sense. I see cultures in terms of how you choose to live, not what color you were born. If you want to act like you're from the ghettos, it doesn't matter what color you are, that's how I'm going to see you. Color is not a factor in how I think of someone.

You can know more about a person who is living in a country where there are strong traditional customs by knowing about his culture . For me it isnt important what is person's race and culture and if he is open minded and dont have any old fasioned believes I can match with him. I think globalization is a great thing and all of us should be world citizens!

The words are not the problem it is the meaning behind it. Also being attracted to people from different cultures is natural it keeps people from inbreeding.

That's a whole lot of questions at once. Try separating them out and spending 5 points on each one, and you might get serious answers.
