Being " literate " is having knowledge that you got from the books, or materials you read, scientific facts or those taught to you at school. But failures doesn't mean we are illiterate..it means we just need a little touch up with what we already knew and a lot of improvement in personality.Failures usually happen not because we know nothing ( coz if we do we should not have tried it in the first place..) but mainly because of the attitude we had when we did it. Agree? :)

All these have Success as the ultimate destination.

Some don't need lessons to succeed in life. So the successful people can't be called as 'illiterate' as they might have learned the lessons thro' others' example & not by their own personal experience.

These people are worldly wise by nature.

illeterate means unable to read, so yes, you could be successful and still be unable to read.

i think what you mean is ignorant...not rude, but not knowledgable.
and the smartes of people are ignorant. I am very good at the law but completely ignorant of particle physics.
