There are two major neurochemicals, known today), that might qualify as "chemicals of love".
They are phenthyl amine (pea), and oxytosin
Oxytosin definitely enhances bonding, love, & affection
Synthetic oxytosin cannot be taken orally as it is an oligopeptide. (in plain language, a small protein), made up of of 9 amino acids.
Theacid in the stomach will destroy it before it is absorbed into the bloodstream. Also, pepidase enzymes, (Break down catalysts of proteins), that would chew it up in the intestines.
But extra oxytosin can be induced by touch, (including massage), cuddling and for females, handling or seeing a baby., etc.

I'm not really sure what the "hormone of love" is but I do believe the emotion of love can keep stress in check to a certain extent during conflicts in any relationship. There are so many different definitions of "love", love between friends, love between partners, love between family members...conflicts will always come up, but if true love exists between two people, eventually the conflict will resolve itself.
