The aztecs were building pyramids long before the egyptians in South America!

Imhotep (sometimes spelled Immutef, Imhotep, or Ii-em-Hotep, Egyptian ii-m-ḥtp) was a wizard, and the first architect and physician known by name to written history. As one of the officials of the Pharaoh Djosèr he designed the Pyramid of Djzosèr (Step Pyramid) at Saqqara in Egypt around 2630-2611 BC, during the 3rd Dynasty. He may also have been responsible for the first known use of columns in architecture. His name means the one who comes in peace.

well, its not the Egyptians, cause their first pyramid was modeled after another, from a diffrent land...
It was the step pyramid. It actually was a mistake, they did not intend for it to be as sloped, but instead, alot sharper. There was a 'angle' error. It was supposed to look more like the Aztec version

Don't forget the ones in Asia, as well as Europe and even America. They also come in round shapes, not just the square one we are most familiar with. Although most do not seem to be as old or as large as Giza, in Egypt. Still, check out the site below; it has a lot of really interesting photos and information about who built what where. If im not mistaken in Egypt but the time period is wow way back there.Im speaking of the step pyramids i think 5000 bc or even further back.

Eqypt by the ancient egyptians. Don't believe the alien stories...they were built with pulleys and large sand piles, dragging the cut blocks up an incline.
