but surely artificial semination would not be as effective as the mass reproduction process we have going on called sexual intercourse

after a while, the population would drop greatly

2006-06-28 20:16:59 · update #1

when i say a smaller population, i mean a REALLY small poulation

not many people in the world would want to take the "burden" of carrying a child for someone else

artificial semination is also way more difficult than natural semination

true, homosexuality is a form of population control, but so is murder

the only well thought out answer was from gabriel

although find many holes

for one, yes, there are gay people out there that have sex and have kids, but the fact is, most of them are like you: not willing to

and since most of our population comes from willimg parents, a world of unwilling people would harshly hurt the population and evetually, the end would come

if the whole world was gay, there would be way less willing people there to mate and soon, either the world would end, or it would be surviving off a strand of a few survivors

2006-06-28 21:12:22 · update #4

a population willing to mat with the opposite sex would be more effective than an unwilling population

if i had to have sex with a guy to maintain a strait population, i wouldn't do so

Hey guy. If everyone was gay the population would be down but man+woman=baby. So a gay man and a gay woman are allowed to have sex. And if everyone was gay even unwilling people would do it. Are we talking if every straight person died or a world where everyone was born gay? If everyone was born gay then they would just get it done.

Actually before the homosexual livers reach 49% of the total population we will have several craft sailing to several new worlds where homosexuality will be banned for thousands of years again. After that the percentage will get higher but marriage will still exist to the end on this planet.

As mentioned before, there's always artificial insemination. And what's wrong with a drop in population? The world's loaded with famine and disease. I think a drop in population would be good for the world. Ahh ... a world of homosexuals. What a wonderful place it would be!

For starters, there's artificial insemination. Secondly, not all children raised by gay parents grow up to be gay. There would still be heterosexual people in the world. This was an ignorant question, one I've heard all too well and far too long.

No. The world has always maintained diversity throughout history, for one thing. There have always been straight, gay and unlabeled people around. I know plenty of gay people who have chosen to reproduce in our current world, so it would probably continue, even if the world's total population was gay.

The tough estimate is that 9.7% of the male inhabitants identifies as gay and four.5% of the female inhabitants identifies as lesbian. Counted over the completed inhabitants of the two adult males and girls human beings that would desire to quantity to approximately 7% of the inhabitants that identifies as gay. The numbers in user-friendly terms seem increasing. Homosexuality was once an unstated difficulty. human beings knew it existed, yet no person ever suggested it nor confirmed their sexuality in the event that they have been. cases have replaced and persons dare to be lots greater open approximately it, meaning that it kind of feels that there are greater gay human beings around. upload to that the media interest this is been entering into distinctive techniques, you have a seeming boost in gay human beings. yet i'm incredibly specific that the ratio has consistently been incredibly lots an identical.

You have clearly never played "dodge the stroller" in your typical gay or lesbian neighborhood.

Preference for a same-sex relationship doesn't negate the desire or ability to reproduce.

So, for your hypothetical, no, we wouldn't run out of people. For reality, we're in no danger of running out of people. Along with many other families, gays are still building family by having children or adopting children.

Try reading The Wild Boys by William S Burroughs. If you can get through the Acid haze - you'll find an interesting take on your question.

have you ever considered that homosexuals are a form of population control? there's too many people in the world already, we need more gay people.
