All are important.
We need to remember the past so we don't repeat mistakes.
We need to think of the present so can accomplish goals.
We need to be curious about the future so we evolve.

The future is the most important. The past is over and done with. We have the present to take action and take care of things for the FUTURE.
We all work for the future. That alone explains its importance.

I suppose the importance is so difficult to assess because your relationship to each is different. You really can't compare the three, as they are points of view, not objects.
You live in the present. It's where you are, and therefore where your attention is normally (properly) focused. You learn from the past, if you have any sense at all. You plan for the future, if you have any sense at all. But both that learning and that planning are done in the present.
So in some absolute terms, I would have to say that the present is the most important. But those who say "live in the present" sound as though they are discounting the importance of learning and of planning.

I think that the future is the most important because it is what is coming. You cant change the past and cant change the present but you can do something to change your future whether its for the better or for the worse it can be altered.

The Present, We learn from the past, we set in motion the future and we always can learn from our choices. Whether good or bad we must live for now for the past is gone the future is not here. Stop enjoy each day and try to live it to the best you can!

i will put it this way, past is important. present is more important and most important is the future.
past is to guide you on what you are doing now for improvement, and present should be good enough to prepare you for the future.

The past because it sets you up for the future. The present because you have to live in the here and now. And the future because that's all we have to look forward to.
