The short version is that you need to determine if you are ovulating and if so, when. You can do this by charting your fertility signs.

All the answers that say "Just relax; it will happen" are *wrong*. Yes, studies have shown that stress is related to infertility. But it is more likely that women are stressed because they aren't getting pregnant than the other way around. They weren't getting pregnant even *before* the stress!!

Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will answer all your questions. Skip the online ovulation calendars (they tell you when an *average* woman will ovultate--not when *you* do!!) and the ovulation predictor kits (they are less accurate than charting).

Good luck!!

well there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

Babyzone.com is a good website. It helps you monitor your fertility schedule and estimates when you ovulate. However, it does assume that you ovulate exactly half-way between periods, which you may not. So, you may have to do the self-exam to check yoru cervix, fluids, etc. I think they also have a saliva-based testing thingy you can buy to make pinpointing your ovulation date easier (it's sold by one of the website's sponsors). If you are trying for 6 months or longer, you and your sig other should get tested at the Dr.
If it's not meant to be, there is always IVF or adoption.
Good luck!

You haven't given enough details - how old you are, how long you have been trying, etc.

Personally, I don't believe in charting since I was never able to find anything... I was obviously ovulating monthly but that just wasn't part of my problem...

If you've been having unprotected sex for a year and are under 35 or for 6 months and over 35, go see a fertility specialist.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

I'd check your ovulation time. Then have sex every other day. I got pregnant within the month
