Our wedding day... it was perfect. We had a very intimate ceremony at Burnside Manor in Victoria,Canada. We exchanged vows in the beautiful garden, underneath a tall oak tree. The setting, the people, the cake(yum!), the weather...everything was wonderful. Afterwards we returned to downtown Victoria where a horse and carriage ride had been arranged for us. As we were taken through Beacon Hill Park and around town, people along the way stopped and waved, congratulated us and cheered. I felt like a princess :). Everyone made us feel really special, We were dropped of at the Empress hotel, where we had arranged to stay for our wedding night and were upgraded to a signature room, which was beautiful with a glorious view of the harbour. We then had dinner in the Empress Room with some friends, and were spoilt rotten. Could not have asked for a more perfect day..

One day I had a particularly stressing day at work. We were very young, just married, had moved 900 miles from our family, had a new baby and were very poor. When I came in, my husband, dressed in a suit, opened. the door. He had both the children lying down for naps. We had no table. He had placed a box in the living room floor in front of the TV and put our bed spread over it creating a table cloth with sitting areas on each side. In the middle was a candle and dinner. On the TV, the movie, "Beauty and the Beast" was playing. He sat me down, served my spaghetti and made me feel like a queen. It was a day I will never forget.

The best day of my life was the day I fell in love with my husband and I knew that he was in love with me and I knew that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together.
It was really romantic. We were walking through a rose garden at night and we sat down on a little cozy bench under an arbor of red roses. The full moon was shining on us and we kissed.
sigh......
We've been happy and in love ever since.

It was when I came to the U.S. from Central America and saw my dad at the airport when I was 7. My family was reunited and now complete. For unfortunate country issues at the time, my dad fled out of our country to make a better life for us here and saved money to bring my mother, my sis and I three years later... IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!!! Thanks for reminding me!
