If you're asking how long to wait until a woman chooses you, I'd say you will have to wait until one does, eh?
If you're asking how long you should wait to find out if a *particular* woman chooses you, I'd think that would depend on how much you want her to choose you!
Women (and men) are not always honest. Sometimes, in order to keep from hurting others' feelings, they may say "I don't know," when they really mean "No!" I think this is silly, but it happens all the time. Of course, not all cultures value blunt honesty. You could say that you'd prefer to be hurt to being treated gently, but that could be bad if she really doesn't know.
Also, it's an important choice, so perhaps she simply wants to be very sure. In that case, wait until you are unhappy waiting.

if we're talking about marriage, or dating-she likes things the way they are right now. don't push her, you may not get the answer you want to hear.
if you're talking about "where do you want to go eat?" she probably said she really doesn't care.because there are so many choices that she can't make up her mind. but she does want to go out to eat. in that case, make a few suggestions for her to choose from. if she still can't decide, tell her where you would like to go, and ask if that sounds like a good choice.
