In a genuine making love there is no object or subject, there are partners with the commitmment to please each other equally with respect and consideration.
If you want to take the direction, make sure your partner is comfortable with this. Sometimes sexual games are good and allow partners to surrend command to one another.
Also, there are subtle ways to conduct the act in order to warrant that your needs will be fulfilled without making the partner an object.
In sum, use creativity.

A lady has to be receptive, she has to do to the man what is also being done to her, as long as she is still comfortable doing them. Just to cite an example, if she is kissed, she should kiss him back, etc. She is no object in making love and to ensure that this is the case, she must be proactive at all times. :)
