Search site is a completely different things. It gives you the list of the sites in which the words you have typed are included. So there is a possibility that you may or may not get the information you want. Where a site like Yahoo! Answers lets you get real answers from REAL PEOPLE and that simply means you get the information you NEED.

Now let me ask u something
If you had typed this same question in a search site, would you have got so real an answer?

You can search stuff within Yahoo Answers, but the point of it is to get your Q's Answered in a timely matter and have the ability to have the community (the usuers) pick out the best answer if you don't know it (the voting thing). It's faster in accuracy then a search engine, and you're getting answers from real people (which also means opinoins and pranks alike LOL unfortunately). I've been told it's a blog (that just so happens to have other fetures).

Yahoo! Answers is a way to interact with other people. The community shares their knowledge here. I've gotten a bit of insider info on here that I couldn't find anywhere else online. People add insight when answering my questions that is more than any search could ever offer.

Plus, unlike just search you can provide your own content. You don't have to create a website of your own. You don't even have to think of what you want to put on it. All you have to do is find a question that interests you and start typing.

The main thing about Yahoo! Answers, though, is the interaction. I've met some great friends on here that I wouldn't want to be without.
