Do women sense things stronger than men?

Women's Intuition? Mother's Intuition? Why is it that I always know what the kids are doing before my husband. Why do I always feel something bad or good is going to happen before the men around me do? (men- being my husband and my 9 brothers... who all live around me.....yes i know thats alot..... ) but are women really more sensitive to the unknowing than men are? Opinions.....

Intuition is, at the very basis of it, an art and a science that is based on acute observation. Once you observe things minutely, repeatedly, and form patterns, you will feel your intuition developing. Next time one sees a certain patterns occuring, they know, to a very degree, what is going to happen next. The more "variables" you observe, the better you understand and predict and sense things.

None of us really knows or designs the future; some of us, the gifted ones, just see it coming more readily.

Intuition is also embracing, it is not linear in nature. That is, it is not studied by understanding cause and effect, but rather taking the WHOLE in, and seeing the relationships that exist amongst things, understanding it all.

Now to your question: Yes, women sense things stronger than men. This is because men's brains are dominanted by the left hemisphere, and linear. Women's brains are dominated by the right half, and "webbed."

Women see more, sense more, analyze more, form many relationships in their brain, and are thus able to reach conclusions more quickly. These conclusions are based on the data present and the way it's perceived so there remains a chance of error or a complete misredaing should the mind be prejudiced.

Now remains the question of the completely absurd intuition.... remote sensing, mind-reading, knowing things that we aren't really seeing. There is a whole body os disparate knowledge behind that. My theory is simply that Humans are endowed with more powers than they believe or use. After all, dolphins communicate through telepathy - and it's a scientific observation. Many other animals and plants communicate over distances and coordinate their activities (migration, flying schedules) even though they haven't gone to a school.

We must embrace nature and reality to gain command over its use.

YES, women sense things stronger than men. Woman is endowed by the Almighty with a more refined and strengthened ability to perceive intuitively. She has, as the most precious gift of womanhood, a delicacy of intuitive perception which no other creature can attain. Womanhood has been endowed with the ability to sense spiritual things as well as the Will of God stronger than men. Hence, women are stronger (finer and more receptive) spiritually while men are endowed with stronger physical (coarse) ability. Women are more in touch with emotion than men. Men are trained from birth to ignore "feelings" and many things from the spiritual and psychic realms are sensed through "feelings". Men, as a whole are also more analytical, problem-solving. That trait makes it more difficult to sort of just go with your intuition.

In ancient Norse tradition, magic, divination and healing were the realms of women specifically. So much so that if a man did it he was dubbed the ancient Viking equivelant of a "f*g". Unless he was big and strong and could kick yer butt.
(Note: I don't generally use that word to insult people, by the way, I'm just using it by way of illustration.)

I would agree with indigo, but further add that intuition is something we all have regardless of sex. Therefore men more in tune with their so called feminine side can be just as intuitive as women, However women who have had children will always have that special unique bond that men can not have - simply because they can not give birth!!!

yes.i do think women are given this special ability by god.
i am very intuitive and instinctive.whenever i cant sleep at night and feel worried about somethingg,the next thing i knew there's really somethin not right happened.
For instance,there are many nights when i thought my there's something that wasn't right with my boyfriend.
The next thing he'd really call me up in the wee morning telling me that his father was warded in the hospital or he just met with an accident while riding his bike.

And there's one time when my elder brother hadn't come home and acting weird,i have this huge certainty that he's in some kinda ****.i told my mum details of some possibilities.My mum thought i was spouting nonsensical ideas or cooking up stories.
But one day she found out that whatever i sensed was true.
Well i am not saying I'm psychic but perhaps I'm just blessed with strong intuition.

Every thought and every action sends out a vibration into the universe that can be picked up by those in tune- in an instant. Yes, we women are naturally more sensitive to what you call the "unknowing", but I would not call it that. As you said in your own experience, you picked up what was actually happening. So, I would call it the "knowing".

Yes, I believe that women know cause a mother has more concern about her surrounding and her children. They are a part of you just like when you sad and mad need a hug the kids know before anyone else does. My husband thinks that I don't know what I talking about sometimes. It may take weeks sometime before he sees I was right. Yes, we all do to answer your question. Man are more laided back and have less concern.

I don't know about women's intuition, but my take is that mothers have got a direct line to God. Just an impression I sometimes get.

there are lots of theories and old wives tales about this phenomenon. i tend to believe it's true even despite the fact that i've seen no hard evidence either way. but it does seem like women have a much finer tuned sense of intuition than men do.

In a word: Yes.
Women are more accustomed to multi-tasking mentally.

Women can walk, listen and chew gum all at the same time. Women are accustomed to having to absorb all that's going on around them. [Men are more 'focused' on one thing at a time].

Also, women are more observant, and can see things coming. For instance, when Baby hates new food, he will get a certain expression on his face before he spits it out. Mom will notice and step aside. It will come as a surprise to Dad.
