Here is how your computer works, you have two memory areas, ram and rom, rom is the place where your programs are stored whether it be a hard drve, a cd, etc. now for the good part, ram is the area where your programs in rom are loaded to when you run them. lets say you have 256 megs of ram....you got a program running that uses 100 megs of ram, you got another program that uses another 100 megs also running, and last but not least you have another program running that uses 57 megs. guess what happens? you only have 256 megs of ram and you are using 257 megs of ram. things aint equatin rite! it may even run like this but, **** has to be dumped from ram and reloaded into ram to share the ram. this takes much time! sometimes it will lock you up even! the less crap you have running in the background the faster your computer will respond. got it?
ALL WEBSITES THAT CLAIM FREE MUSIC DOWNLOADS, PORN, ONLINE GAMES, GAMBLING ETC. are infested with spyware, adware, trojans, malicious software, highjackers and viruses! Got it? Anyone who tells you different is a fool! If you dont mind having your system become inffected then feel free to use any of them. If you choose too, dont come back and whine because your system has slowed down or failed to boot. Been working with PCs and the internet from the get go and have cleaned tons of systems out because of this. If you dont heed this advice it makes no difference to me....I make good money at diggin this crap out!

If you are getting progressive slowing or progressive memory reduction, chances are there is a poorly written trojan in your system that keeps eating more and more ram as it tries to replicate itself. The slowing comes as the system has to page to the hard disk more and more as there is less and less RAM available.
The second possibility is a simpler one where ther CPU fan has stopped, and you have a genuine Intel CPU with speed stepping technology which slows itself as it heats up.
Check for CPU temp first, then go looking for trojans and viruses using any Free software you can find like AVG, McAfee Stinger, AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy.
If you are POSITIVE of no virus or trojan , CHECK THE CPU FAN if the processor is an Intel with Speed Step.

Maybe you'll have to upgrade your RAM and also leave some considerable space free on your hard disk. This is because other than the RAM, your computer uses some fraction of the hard disk as a virtual memory. By the way have you scanned it for a virus? If not, I suggest you do.

I think you are running too many programs in your system more than you system can handle..
or might be Virus Problem..
If you are using Norton Anti-Virus.. this could somewhat slow down the system..
Take you computer for a Service...
If you were not able to get rid of the problem even after a service..
I guess you can go for a full system format..
(Should not format the System unnecessarily)
All the Best !

By looking at that report, you may not have enough RAM (memory) installed. I wouldn't know since you didn't list any specs about your computer.
Try disc defragmenting your hard drive, also check to see if any programs are starting up when your computer is starting up in "msconfig". Sometimes spyware/viruses will be hidding in there when you start up your computer, and it can cause a major halt in computer productivity.

Sounds like you have RAM issues. Your memory is low and probably needs an upgrade. Vaio is regardless. If you have nething lower than 512 MB you need to upgrade.

this problem can occur if u store other files on c drive. like which are not of computer. it can be virus. u can do system restore by going to accessories and u can reinstall ur c drive. i mean reinstall only c drive. system restore will give u two options one is to restore computer in earlier times and one will be to restore from the begning. it will be better if u reinstall c drive because system restore will delete all u drives files but by reinstalling ur window u can ur other files except c drive . IN MY VIEWS U SHOULD REINSTALL UR WINDOW . I MEAN REINSTALL WINDIW WILL LEAD TO REINSTALL C DRIVE
BYE THE WAY
BEST OF LUCK

This is not less RAM problem
Either your RAM is not working properly, or this is CPU problem. Try to run your computer with other RAM or CPU. If this does not work, then this is motherboard problem.
