My new boss asked "Do you play golf ?"....?

And I said...."I am a MAN, I only play MAN sports". As you can imagine, that didnt go well. Any other ideas what I could have said while still transmitting my total loathing and disgust with the game,so he won't try to invite me out to the links some day?

I dont play golf. i prefer contact sports like football. did you know that some business majors require you to take a golfing class/ I found that interesting...

Uh, yeah. Something like, "no, sorry, I just never got into it." would usually work. If he invites you in the future, just tell him again that it isn't your thing.
