you are friends with some rude people who are out to take advantage of you it seems. set boundries. say no. if they stop talking to you, they aren't your friends. no one should assume anything about another's financial situation, and it is rude to even ask.

I think if they just only are with you because you pay foods and drinks for them then they are not real friends. A real friend is someone who are with you in good and bad terms/ periods. Do not pay for them anything, and see what will happen, if any of your so -called friends will comment on and ask why did not you pay for this then its a sign of lack of real friendship.
Remember do not pay for them, they should pay themselves

They're either broke, or just using you. But I bet they're not broke all the time. Next time don't pay for it, just bring enough money for yourself, if they ask for money, tell them, you don't have it, and show them your wallet for proof, a true friend, would OFFER to pay for YOUR food and drink!!! Or put them on a plan, if they borrow money, make them pay it back...be like..man, this is the last time, i want my money back, don't give it to them until the say they will

They suck. They are not your friends, they just want to use you. It's only okay if they ask you once, for a good reason like if they lost their money or something like that. Don't always keep buying them their food, if you keep buying them food every time, they are going to ask you every day. Hang out with other true friends... Or tell them stop asking you for buying their lunch. If they were your friends they wouldn't use you. And USERS SUCK! YOUR CHOICE. : )

It is possible that you could have given them the impression that you were rich at some point. If you don't want to pay, just don't do it. You are not obligated to pay for everything, even if you are rich.

There must be a reason to that, you must pay for there food and drinks often, make them pay for there own meals and gradually they'll stop asking if your rich.

Just be honest and tell them that you aren't rich and that you can't afford to pay for their food/drinks. They shouldn't expect you to pay for their stuff anyway - you need to set them straight, you aren't their personal atm.

Just look at them and say "Hey, I'm friggin broke, so pay for your own s.h.i.t!" If they're your friends then they'll pay for their own crap and stick around. If they aren't your friends, they'll find someone else to mooch off of.

Life's so much easier when you are blunt, honest, and speak your mind.

On the pragmatic scale they are. You enjoy giving this impression to them and moreover you enjoy their asking you to pay while they enjoy only filling their stomachs.
