Usually, we go to the fireworks display at a nearby state park on the third, and then to a bigger city nearby to the carnival and watch the fireworks on the Fourth. There is normally a barbecue or two involved, and setting off our own fireworks. We haven't made many plans yet for this year, but they will probably be very similar to previous years.

We are having a great big four day party since the 4th falls on a Tuesday this year. Swimming, Skiing, & homemade pizza.

I'm having a hard time getting people to RSVP, though. I've asked a question about it on this site (2 versions, actually)

My husband and I are taking the kids to a campground by the lake in Idaho. We're going to watch the fireworks over the lake. We'll bbq during the day and set off our own fireworks at night. I love independence Day!!

I will be camping in the Dinosaur badlands of Alberta. I am sure it will either be scorching hot or pouring rain.

I'm in Canada so our day is July 1st, which is Saturday. Dunno yet. Maybe take the Danes for a walk down Whyte Ave, watch all the freaky people.
