Should u use the same one? I don't mean for financial, sensitive info but any site you go to needs a username and password and it is hard to keep up with them all.

I agree with all that has been suggested thus far but basically you need to find one that suits you the most.
A password is only as secure as you can keep it
So if you can commit each password + login combination to memory, nothing better
If you find that hard, some people prefer a pool of passwords and use them. So you can keep like 3 username + password combinations and use them all the time
Others note each of the combination and keep them on either their phones, computers or on the net. Depending on how confident of the security of these devices you are, and how sure you are that you will always have them handy, you can use that as well

I know that most theories suggest that an average user stick to one password, but I know that every site you register with comes up with its own weird rules about what is a valid password (capital + small + number + special character et. etc.). So it doesnt always hold

One trick that I have seen people use is, use a password that every one else would think is gibberish but you would know what it means.
Like say the 1st character of each word from a famous quote
4SA7Ya -> four score and seven years ago etc etc.

I never write down passwords. No one should. Writing it down defeats the whole purpose of having a password.

Use a password saver, such as Roboform. If you're using Firefox, you're in luck. FF has the built-in password saver. Or, you can you KeePass, which is free and powerful!
