At 9, you would be considered too young for most jobs. However, you can get a paper route or mow lawns. Most parents would not allow a 9 year old too babysit....just too young. You will have many years to work, why not just enjoy the few years of childhood that you have left.

Hi Josh, Talk to your Mum &/or Dad about who you can ask to do some odd jobs for. You might be able to ask some neighbours, family members, friends. Everyone has something around the house that needs doing. You could offer to wash cars for people - that way you don't have to go into anyone's house or you could offer to do some gardening in their front yard.
Hope that helps.

I know of one kid who got his mom to ask her co-workers to donate their soda cans and bottles for her young son, and the scheme appeared to work pretty well. I am guessing that the mom would take her kid into the office on Saturday morning or something, and the kid (I hope) would gather up the cans and take them back to the car.
Other than that, there's not much else to do besides taking on nasty chores for the family and neighbors.
