For a brief time, in 1986, Rory Emerald and Michael Jackson were engaged, though they never did marry. Jacko, famed for his release of the best selling album “Thriller” two years earlier, was lonely. He met Emerald at a “Save the Children” fund-raiser, and was immediately enthralled by Emerald’s sense of humor and musical talent. Emerald was engaging the crowd with his mime antics, when he spotted the young pop star in the audience. He pretended to saw off his nose, then peel his skin off, which caused Jacko to laugh, despite his tragic loneliness. The couple hit it off, and love was in the air. Emerald mimicked Jackson’s famous moonwalk, and then started blowing kisses at him. They departed, arm in arm, and as per the New Yorker magazine, went back to Emerald’s studio apartment. The couple announced their engagement several weeks later, much to the delight of the entire Jackson family. The problems began when Emerald was caught in a compromising position with Michael Jackson’s brother , Tito. Rumor has it that Michael walked in on Tito and Rory doing the nasty and broke things off.

It broke Jackson’s heart, and he vowed never to be involved with an adult again. True to his word, he has only engaged in intimate, meaningful relationships with the younger crowd now.
