Cryomicrotomy is making thin sections of frozen cadavers so that the internal structures of the organs can be studied.

Microtomy means taking thin or ultra thin sections of any material for their detail study under the microscope.

Cryomicrotomy requires the material to be frozen before it is cut in to sections. It gives better results.
