why this earth only hanging in the space but not falling down

just like the other guys.
it will not fall down because there is no down and up in space. it has a very low gravity that you cannot feel.
here in earth we say up because when you look up its up and when you look down its down but is that really the thing that is happening. no. We say down, towards the earths center because, relatively to the earth down is the center of the earth where, also, the earth's center of gravity.
a good example of this is, picture yourself in the north pole. you looked down. imagine the earth is transparent. now picture someone in the antartica looking down also. it is like looking at a mirror. Who is down and who is up? Make sense???
Up, down, etc... are relevant to attraction or gravity if it is in earth.
from the first law F=m1*m2/d.
when a man fall in a building he isattracted to the earth's gravitational pull, towards the earth's center. So relatively to the audience seeing the man's fall. we can say he is falling down but in fact he is being attracted to the earth's center.

Sir Isaac Newton explained this concept in about the year1680. He said: suppose you climb to the top of a high mountain, and throw a rock off of the top. It will land somewhere down the side of the mountain, right? Then suppose you throw another one alot harder. It will land even farther away, right? The harder you throw, the farther it will land away from you. Suppose you throw it really, really hard, so hard that it's fall matches the curvature of the Earth. So as it falls, the Earth's curve also falls at the same rate. The object that you threw will just keep on falling, until it comes all the way around the Earth and you have to duck to keep it from hitting you in the back of the head!! This is what it means to be in orbit. So the Earth is always falling toward the sun, but it always misses the sun, and just keeps on falling and falling and falling. So does the Moon and the space shuttle and anything else that is in orbit. Does this help?

It is.

It's falling toward the Sun! but it's also passing the Sun, so as it falls, it goes past, around behind it and back to where it was.

It's called an orbit.

Let's say you can throw a ball fast. So fast as it falls to the ground, the curvature of the Earth falls away at the same rate. The ball would fall around the earth and hit you in the back of the head (forgetting about wind resistance and trees and stuff).

That's an orbit too.

The Earth is falling, constantly, in orbit around the Sun. But the Sun is falling away at around the same rate.

there is no force / stuff that is present to attract / repel the earth .

hence it doesn't fall down
Althought the earth is spinning , it it were stationary, it will still not fall down or move unless somethind acts upon it, Newton's 1 Law - every body continues to travel in a line unless it's acted upon by some other forces.

similar to that law

Where would it fall too and why? What would make it fall down?

In space which direction is up and which is down?

m137pay is right. The earth is constantly falling toward the sun.

because its caught in the orbit of the sun. it doesnt really hang or fall...because theres no gravity in space, so it floats. because of the suns pull, earth spins in orbit.

Because the earth is flat.Fall down to where? Don`t they teach in school or are you too stupid to learn.
