With correct marketing, good customer service, and good products, yes! Some products sell better than others online.
Books are probably the easiest products to sell online. Musical instruments are probably one of the most difficult to sell, because you cannot hear how they sound before buying. But even though, I am sure that musical instrument sellers still have a huge online audience.

Usually, businesses over the internet make more of a profit than regular businesses. For examples, with Amazon.com, they don't have to pay to lease a huge store in a good location. All they need is the warehouse that they would need anyway if they had a store. Also, they don't have to pay as many employees to work in the store and they don't have to pay utilities. That's why Amazon.com can offer lower prices for books and stores like Borders charge full price. Borders needs to in order to cover all of their costs.

It does, however, depend on which kind of Internet business you are referring to. Unfortunately, businesses are going to a more computer-savvy direction and many jobs are lost in the process.

Your pay is based on your commission, so sell as little or as much as you like. Plus they give you a free website to use!!

Well, mine do, anyway.

I have several small niche sites and products, and once you learn the formula it's relatively simple to keep doing it again and again.

I'm doing a version of the Frank Kern "Underachiever" formula, with twists and add-ons from people like Perry Marshall and Dan Kennedy.

the income of the internet is that there aren't any overheads in words of premises, application expenditures etc. the shy away is, each guy and his dogs have cottoned on to this, and the internet is FLOODED with organizations, all vieing for the shoppers. good markets to get into are - electronics, rings, luxury products etc, notwithstanding that is continually desirable to promote something you in my opinion are in contact in, in the different case, you're in all chance to lose interest!
