It looks so easy. In the end, this will be some of the most expensive seed you will ever buy. For the same money, you can get enough seed to plant several times the area. Keep in mind that there is more to it than just unrolling the "seed carpet" on the ground and sprinkling it with a little water.

The places the unroll it on TV have been carefully prepared. In real life, it is not that simple. You will need to get rid of any weeds or grass and work the soil before you lay down the carpet. The carpet must make firm contact with friable soil and must be kept damp. If you do not do these things, most of the seeds will not germinate, and those that do will quickly die before the roots can reach the soil beneath and get established.

Of course, this is just my opinion. I just hate to see people get ripped off by TV infomercials.

For what it is worth, they are available at WalMart and the like.

Good luck with your gardening.

If you are talking about something that looks like green carpet but if you put it down in soil and water it, a lot of flowers are supposed to grow, I've seen that a couple of times on QVC. You can check their website, www.qvc.com. Not sure if they sell it in stores.
