my daughter-in-law's mother speaks 14 different languages fluently and works as an interpreter. no she's not a genius but she's quite intelligent. she's also very arrogant and obnoxious and curses at me in languages she thinks i don't understand because she thinks i'm not as smart as she is.

never met anyone but have heard of seveal who can speak over twenty languages. none were geniuses but all had great capacity to group learn languages such as ramonce (latin base) eastern european (germanic andslavic roots) and far east asia as in china, indian etc where dialects are often sufficiently diverse as to be considered seperate languages like cantonese, mandarin etc.
