Just be there for him. Guys are not like us ... they don't want us to solve their problems. WE want to solve their problems and make everything better. Guys aren't like that. Just be there for him, listen, be a shoulder to cry on and be his rock. Don't say "everything is going to be ok" because it may not be. Just say, "Honey, I'm sorry, and I'm here for you if you need anything." That'll be enough, and let him take it from there. He may not even want to talk about it right now...he'll open up when he is ready.

i think it is better to just be there for him even if it is on the phone then having to remind him of his friend. my boyfriends uncle past away and it was real hard for my boyfriend because he was close with him and i was in the same position as u r and someone told me just be there for him keep his mind off of it and try hard to talk about something else and that is what i did and it worked. whatever happens good luck with u and him. hope his friends gets betta sooner dan soon!

Just follow the KISS method: Keep It Simple Stupid ( not calling you stupid by no means it just goes with the sayin)! Tell him that you are here for him and if he needs you for anything even just to talk you are there. Let him know that you will be his backbone in his time of need!

TELL HIM THAT YOU ARE THERE FOR HIM. TRY TO DO THINGS WITH HIM TO TAKE HIS MIND OFF OF IT IF ONLY FOR A FEW MINUTES IT WILL HELP. PRAY WITH HIM FOR HIS FRIEND. BASICALLY JUST BE THERE FOR HIM
