All depends on which route you take, if there's traffic and what part of each city you're departing from or arriving in. My husband commutes every day from southwest Littleton to downtown Boulder and it takes no less than one hour even if there's little traffic. He would take a different route to get to Broomfield and that would take about 45 minutes if there's no traffic, an hour if it's rush hour.

I live in Littleton, and it takes about 45 minutes to get to Boulder, give or take some time for traffic. I think I could get to Broomfield in less than that.

Depends on traffic. During traffic times, add up to an extra hour on top of the hour and a half it would normally take. Colorado Springs is not necessarily cheap as compared to Broomfield however. Just to the north of Broomfield are the tri city areas of Fredrick, Daconno, and Firestone. You get a lot more house for your money there, but not too many apartments if your looking to rent. Near Colorado springs Fountain is cheaper.

it depends where in Littleton you are but you're roughly looking at 30-40 minutes to Broomfield and 45mn to an hour to Boulder.

The equatorial diameter of the Earth is 7,926 mi. Therefore, points 72 miles apart equal 1 degree of angular separation between those 2 points. Since 1 degree=60 arc minutes simply set up a proportional equation to solve for X where every 72 miles = 60 arc minutes to find the arc minutes of separation between the cities that you mentioned.
