I am 17 years old. I would like to become a phelbotomist. I would like to start schooling, so I can get my certification by the time I am 18. I know that some colleges have a semester or year program. I just want to know if it is possible to go to college and finish my last 2 years of high school at the same time. I also need some awareness of schools that teach phlebotomy in OHIO. I have google and asked, but I have not came up with any significant results... Thank you!

You can get a Phlebotomy cert in a month depending on where you're trying to take it. As long as you can show that you have taken Anatomy courses and maybe physiology (different training centers require different things).

Also, find out if you can take EKG and Phleb courses together. Some places will let you take both at the same time because they cover similar topics.

You'll be in a better position and more marketable skill-wise.

It is good to hear someone so young looking to make their future fruitful.

You can obtain your cert in Phlebotomy in about a month to three months. You can try looking into school which specialize in teaching medical assisting and EMT courses.

You can also try your local junior college. They sometimes offer classes on the subject for a lower price than the medical colleges.

Good Luck!
