Go talk to and talk to an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) Doctor really it is very very important that you do get it checked out. LIke every one else said, it probably wasn't pierced very well the first time, you are having an allergic reaction to the material they're made of, they aren't the right type of earring to be sleeping in (small hoops are better) Nothing against those Mall ear piercing places but really you SHOULD be going to either a Doctor or a Tattoo and Piercing place to have a quality piercing done, a Tattoo shop will use a(most likely) hollow needle when they pierce your ears, so it wont grow back anyway, but they use all sterile products like a doctors office would, that is if you go somewhere reputable, and they have a commitment to quality...it'll cost more but hey it'll be worth it!

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Go see the doctor because of the chance of the infection and the chance of getting a keloid, which is scar tissue that doesn't know when to stop growing, and eventually you will have a lump on your ear, my sister has a problem with keloids, and she had a lump the size of a marble behind the lobe of her ear! She had it removed but it is coming back because it wont stop growing even with medications, it is so much easier to treat when it's very first an infection, had she gone to the doctor when her ear first got infected she might not have this problem now!

Good Luck

I would have a doctor look at it before it becomes an infection - if it hasn't already. Then you may want to wait until the holes in your ears close completely. If you still want pierced ears, go to someone who knows what they are doing and make sure that they are sanitary. It's very easy to get an ear infected after a piercing. Make sure that you frequently use alcohol to clean the holes. I've got pierced ears but I've never slept with earrings - too uncomfortable and a chance of the holes ripping a little if you move around too much while you sleep.

I think u got an infection. I pieced my ears in March this year, it's super painful and i got a bit infection in those few days also. Then i applied some medicine, a few days later recovered. There are some fluids in the just pierced ear holes, u need to clean them up first. Try some baby oil to clean your ears and it will make putting the earring easier also.
I got some blood when putting in the earring at that time also and god it is really pain. But now i can put as easy as u can imagine. Try to put the baby oil, if still not recover in 1 week, u better go see the doctor, they will provide u some anti-biotics.. U cannot put through the earrings, also maybe your ear holes closed up a bit, as u didn't put back in time

you'd do best going to a thick string made of cotton, tie a knot in the string and be sure to put alcohol on a cotton ball to get the string wet and pull around about every other hour. Use a needle to get the thread thru. It's not a big string just like an embroidery type thread, half the thickness. be sure and change your pillowcase every night until it gets well. should take about three weeks, you can use neosporin during the day, that's an anti infection type cream. If it's not getting well in 3 wks. go to a doc. l...good luck

That probably means it has closed up. I got my ears pierced when I was 3 months old and a second hole when I was 11. The second hole got infected and closed up so I know how that feels.

You need to let your ears heal from your failed piercing attempt before getting them done. But no, I don't think they'd say anything. I don't see why they wouldn't do it, but it will hurt more because it'll be going through scar tissue.

it is most likely typical swelling, or an allergy to gold. surgical stainless would have been the way to go.
1. take anti inflammatory (alieve, advil) and an antihistamine (benadryl)
2. Soak a washcloth in a solution of SEA salt and water. put that in the microwave for 45 seconds. apply to affected area, careful not to scald yourself, repeat untill you cant stand it anymore or it feels better

-no petrolium based products

how long have they been pierced? if they are healed go to your doctor and have him find out what is blocking the stud from going back in. If they are not fully healed it probably closed up on you since the jewelry was out and would need to be repierced. Also if they are not healed you should not put gold in them, gold is a pourous metal and can harbor bacteria, you should have titanium or surgical stainless steel in them.
