You can find out when you have already ovulated (and, therefore, it's *too late* to get pregnant that cycle) easily by taking your basal body temperature. Every morning when you wake up (at *whatever* time you wake up--but preferably at about the same time every day) and before you do *anything* else (even talk on the phone), take your temperature. Chart the numbers on a piece of graph paper. When your temperature is several tenths of a degree higher than the several previous ones, you have ovulated.
You can also learn to recognize when you are *about* to ovulate by checking your cervical fluid. When you go to the bathroom, wipe at the vaginal opening. When you have wet cervical fluid, you are fertile. When it is very wet, clear, and stretchy, you are very fertile. Plan sex on every other day while you have that stretchy fluid for the best chance of getting pregnant. But keep charting your temperature, too, so that you know when you have ovulated.
For detailed information, please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. Skip the online ovulation calendars (they only use *estimates* of when an "average" woman will ovulate--not very useful!!) and ovulation predictor kits. Charting, as outlined in the book, is the most accurate.
Good luck!!

it usually happens about 14 days after your lst period counting from the first day of your last period there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

I know where you are coming from. I've been thru it. I'm still going thru it. But i also have the added problem of no sex drive. You can find answers to your questions on web MD. I have also had a friend tell me they had sex everyday to make it happen. I do have a little advice that was given to me, don't think about it too much the more you dwell on it the longer it seems to take. Just have sex often. Try having sex every other day. I have thought of that but i have a low sex drive so all i do is think i should do this but i don't want too. Good luck to you i wish you the best in getting pregnant.

Make sure after your periods you have sex particularly in position as explained below:
Take a pillow under your lower part so that your head is down than your lower part and then have sex with your hubby. Your hubby should be on top.
This is bcoz sometime sperms doesnot reach females eggs.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

It can take a healthy couple up to 2 years to conceive. If it takes longet than that then it is time to see a fertility doc. The best thing to do is to have sex about 10 days after the FIRST day of your last period and have sex every OTHER day. Having sex too often can lower your partner's sperm count.

Count 11 days from the onset of menstration then its 11 to 14 days. You will have a slight clear discharge and your temp will be slightly elevated. Occas. Women have another ovulation time at the end of their period

Get the ovulation kits they sell at drugstores first if you don't want to see a Dr. first. You should probably go to one, both of you, to determine if both of your reproductive systems are functioning properly first. The kit will tell you the approximate day your ovulating based on a "surge" of hormones that will be seen on the test stick.
Best of luck to you guys...

MOST WOMEN OVULATE 2 WEEKS AFTER THERE MENSTRUAL CYCLE. BUT THE MORE YOU TRY TO CONCIEVE THE HARDER IT WILL BE. BECAUSE YOU WANT A CHILD SO BAD. TRY NOT TO THINK ABOUT IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, YOU MIGHT JUST GET WHAT YOU ARE WISHING FOR A BABY.
