Because it humanizes Jesus Christ into something less than he was. It claimed that Christian symbols were "perverted" symbols of secular humanism i.e. the demonized pentagram was supposedly stolen from a nature worship symbol known as the pentacle which supposedly reverenced life in the womb. There were wide variances in the life of Constantine, saying he secretly continued to practice his pagan/nature beliefs after he converted to Christianity, etc........All these things are believed by the modern Church to be the ultimate attempt to poison the mind against a system of religion that's perceived to be full of plagiarism and false deism of Jesus Christ.

Because it implies that Jesus was just a man, not a God. If the Da Vinci Code was true then this would invalidate a lot of Christianity.

Question if the Da Vinci Code was real, and a male ancestor of Jesus came forward, would this be the second coming.

If there was a prize for dumbest question of the month, you'd of won it with this question. I'm not even sure I want to answer such idiocy.

The Da Vinci code is a mockery of Christinity. It insulted millions of peoples faith, and that is why the churchs condemn it. Even Islamic faith condemns it because Jesus is considered a holy prophet to them, although not God.

So the movie insulted millions of Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Only the atheists are fat dumb and happy about it.

The issue with the movie is not that it is "insulted millions of Christians, Jews, and Muslims" The book had nothing to do with the last two of the religions. The main reason so many Christians were up in arms about it is that it talked about Jesus but didn't confirm to their beliefs.

The idea that Jesus, by the age of 33, would not have had kids (not to mention have sex) is for some reason immensly critical to their belief system. That is the reason the Christians were up in arms about the book/movie.

If you have read the book or seen the movie you would not need to ask that question.

because almost all of the information in it is false....and it says false things about Jesus....that's a good reason to condemn it
