Chalk. Math was not meant to be done on paper, but on the chalk board. It's great when you have it in your hand and you have a work surface that is so huge. I love it.

Your intelligence, but since you are excluding the brain/mind that'd be excluded too. The most important tool would depend on what kind of math you are doing. What tools you need for simple algebra wouldn't be the same as the tools you'd need for doing ap calculus.
