Ive read the other questions and the answers. Most answers were basically biased opinionated. The others which were not were either just stating facts and leaving me to conclude myself or not precise. Please go straight to your point, dont give any historical statements and summarize it. Thank you.

Look at the mascots. The elephant is big, capable of pulling a load by itself. Since the elephant pulls the load alone the elephant alone decides the distribution of the bounty to the commonwealth. The elephant, being large and cumbersome, often crushes those at the bottom, as all the weight is distributed at the top, The donkey works with a team to pull the same load. Thus a wider distribution of wealth, and, since there is many, if one falls by the wayside, there are others to carry the load, unhampered by the small loss. Who the donkeys and the elephants are is decided first by their party, who spend scads of money to get their interest in, but also, as a party will spend the same amount to get them out. As with Lieberman who has been doing the "monica" with the elephants even though the donkeys paid his way to the floor. Say nite-nite "Lie"berman.

Democrats buy votes by giving away benefits at the expense of the minority of people with larger amounts of money and businesses.

Republicans strive to promote the overall economy buy promoting investing, reducing taxes and government dependence while still helping the common man who wholds most of the votes.

I would like the idea of being a Democrat if so many were not just buying votes with plans that do not work.

Very really, Democrats (liberal) are extra into enormous authorities the position the authorities spends money on courses nationwide and percentage courses with all. The Republicans (conservative) have a tendency to shrink nationwide authorities through reducing decrease back on amenities and courses and push the "decrease out" amenities to a state factor and all of us make contributions regionally. So if Dems are in cost all of us pay for it through taxes to the authorities, If GOP is in, we spend extra regionally in taxes. both way we get screwed. Otherwsie one is an elephant and one is a donkey.

Democrats prefer a large government to fund the many social programs they support. Things like welfare, social security etc.

Republicans feel that, to quote Thomas Paine, "The government which governs best, is the government that governs least." They feel that people are able to take care of things on their own, such as saving for retirement, and don't need the government to hold their hand through the process.

I've written extensively on the subject here: http://www.overruled.org

Republicans care about themselves and enrichment of themselves ONLY. They are the party of property and money.

Democrats care about all people. They care about humanity no matter who they are. Rich, poor, Black, Brown, White.

Republicans say: "I got mine...now get yours the best way you can..."

Democrats say: "We're all in this together".

THOSE are the fundamental differences between the two parties.

I can't tell the difference. I'm better at telling the difference between England and Italy, ie, World Cup.
