Good question.

In short... there's no way to really know how the Universe was created. Some look towards scientific research to explain our origins while many others trust in their faith as the answer. For now, we can only speculate.

I saw the most amazing explaination on NOVA, the public television show.

The Big Bang theory could be explained by String Theory. String Theory is the theory that beyond Atoms, there are strings that make up atoms, that is, these "strings" made of energy actually form a plane of existance which we live on. Sort of like the old "the world is flat" theory. Except there are infinite planes that parallel eachother. Think of a deck of cards. Now, sometimes these planes collide with eachother. Causing a "big bang". Apparently the Big bang was not a unique incident. It will happen again and again.

Still doesn't explain what created the proverbial deck of cards with different universes on each card, though.

In which case these theories leave room for God.

I like the Bhuddist explaination. Where Brahma created everything by dreaming it all up. Makes sense to me, since dreams are as unexplainable as the universe. I've dreamt tthings that I shouldn't know, like other languanges and places, or animals I didn't know existed, then I did research turns out they are real! So If i can dream up things, perhaps God's dreams actually create universes.

Now like the majority of this nation da universe was created by God in the begining. Now how it was done I dont know. maybe it was created in seven days like da good book* says but God decides how long each day is so it really doesnt matter how long it took. The big bang could be, 4 all we kno, God snezzing or somethin as disgusting as that cuz even his snot is more magnifisant than earth so whatever. I cant exactly convince u 2 believe god started all of this so as i said wht eva. bevlieve wht u want but we r here 4 a reason and not some BS "it just happened" type stuff.
