We've been going out for about a month now and i'm not sure how to tell my parents. I keep chickening out. I don't want to wait much longer though because I don't want them to be mad that I didn't tell them. What's an easy way to tell them?

The easiest way to tell your parents is to simply sit down and ask to have an adult conversation with them. It's best not to sugar coat anything, just keep it real. Tell them you have a boyfriend and it might be nice if you tell them that you would really like them to meet him and get to know him. That way they feel like they are involved in your life. Whatever you do don't put it off any longer because the longer you wait the worse it will be when you tell them.

Glad that you are concerned about what your parents would think if they come to know about your boyfriend. This shows how much you care for them. They would really appreciate this thought, if you make them feel how much they mean to you in every decision you make in life. Make your parents think and feel that you are grown up and "responsible" in every action you take. Understand that they have their own concerns and issues about your safety..if you can think and observe their point of view then they will definitely appreciate your mature approach towards tackling the issue. Remember, our parents they KNOW what is best for us. Sometimes they may over look our choices and curb our freedom, perhaps rule out our sense of judgment altogether. Understand the reason behind their views, this will definitely help you in every and any way possible.
A soft word turns away wrath, a harsh word stirs up strife. Tell them softly how much your boyfriend means to you…and that you are exploring a relationship. You should be responsible in every word uttered…action taken. Finally, I wish you all the best. I wish you grow old with the one you love.

Have a happy life!!!

Every parent expects their child to fall in love someday. Every parent also had a girl/boyfriend when they were young. Are you perhaps out of touch with how they might react? Think about it. My son had a girlfriend when he was 12.

If it helps, use this device: Anastrophic/Catastrophic forecaster. Anastrophic: "Oh, honey!! That's wonderful!! Can we help drive you to your next date?" Catastrophic: "What!!! Are you joking? Mother, fetch the chastity belt!" Reality will probably fall somewhere between Anastrophic and Catastrophic.

Tell them. If they are good parents they know that if you want to see guys, you are going to do it with or without their consent. Trust them. That's part of being in a family.

Just sit them down and be honest with them. The longer you wait the worse it's going to be and you don't want them to find out from someone else. Just tell them that you like him and are dating him - and make sure you tell them that you'd like them to meet him. It's important that they meet him and get to know him.

Ask him to come over to your house to meet them before or after a date. Or make a time to privately tell your parents.

Well that is a hard one.First start with something good and well after that you tell them however tell them everything that happen with you and him sow they could understand everything that you are trying to tell them and then they will say what they think about the boyfriend you have. Is easy to say you are going to do it and hard to do it.First think what you are going to tell your parents.

I would drop his name in somewhere. ie. sitting at the table and talking together and then say ".........(name of the boy) said this to me today" they will ask "Who is ...(name of the boy)" you sit and stare at them or the tablecloth and say...."he is my boyfriend" lol or else you can be deliberately seen with him in an nviroment with lots of other people. Hope you arent too young to have a boyfriend but then you have to grow up some day dont you and your parents have to understand that.

Go to whichever parent you're closest to and just come out and say it. Honesty is best in this situation.
