Just watching something on Conan O'Brien about Starr Jones leaving The View---I just wondering what happened? Thanks

Rosie O'Donnell has been signed on to take Meredith Viera's place on The View. Back when Starr lost weight, Rosie went on her website and on tv and lashed out at Starr and told her to admit that she had gastric bypass surgery and didn't lose weight by JUST exercise. Ever since then, they two have hated each other. Well, they signed on Rosie and apparently they did not renew Starr's contract. She was supposed to make the announcement at the END OF THE WEEK that she will not be returning next season - but she surprised EVERYONE including Barbara Walters by making her announcement yesterday. Then she went on to other interviews lashing out at The View and Barbara Walters saying that she felt like she got fired. The View got upset that she announced it too early AND spoke negatively about the show and cast that they abruptly "let her go" the very next day.

She says she feels like she was fired. There has been a lot of dispute since Barbara Walters asked Rosie O' Donnell to join the View after Meredith left the show. Barbara however says she feels hurt at the accusations that Star has made.

They didn't renew her contract for the next season so she won't be coming back. I heard they told her not to come back effective today because she told the media about them not renewing her contract. They wanted her to say she was going to explore other career paths or give some other lame reason as to why she was leaving. I guess she decided to tell all and rub it in their face.

I heard that Star's contract wasn't renewed and she is angry with Bawbwa because she didn't stick up for Star. Also I heard that she doesn't get along with Rosie....This is just gossip mind you so you really never know what is what...

they did not want her back
and so like a soiled baby she tried to make a scene
I stopped watching the View because of her
now that she is gone I will check it out again (especially with Rosie going them)

Fired,and she let it out of the bag in front of bababa wawa ,so wawa had to squirm through-out the whole show.

She was told her contract would not be renewed, and she just decided to not come back to finish contract.
