Take a few DEEP SLOW BREATHS.
Calm down & RELAX!
the earth under ur feet has not quaked nor the SUNAMIS hit ur town...........
Call ur shrink and jus say a SORRY......... then work through the issues that caused you to ACT the way you did.
always remember that you have a CONTRACT with your Shrink and the BOOTOMLINE is that - YOU alone have the power to MAKE CHANGE possible to you N ur life.
And that the commitment of the shrink wld be limited t0 JUST that much commitment u have and excercise.
If it help you, show this message of mine to your shrink
Gud Luck to you :)

I have no idea what the background story is on this, but I do know that "shrinks" are supposed to offer unconditional positive regard. He or she should have known that you would have a problem doing whatever task(s) you were supposed to do because they usually only ask you to do things that they are sure you can handle. Unless you really wish to stop seeing this "shrink" of yours, just go on in there, and explain what happened. If they react harshly, they are not very professional about their job.

As a person in that field, I'll tell you that having your clients not take advice is all a part of the job. Go back (they probably already knew that you weren't going to listen, anyhow) and see if they can help you untangle yourself. If the person yells and screams, then maybe that's in indication that you need to find a new Psychologist!
Good luck!

well, as your shrink he/she should not get mad at you no matter what you do.
so, this is their job to help you- go back and talk to him/her.
if you come to a point that you feel that you can no longer talk to your shrink, or you cannot share feelings and thoughts, it might be that this specific shrink cannot help you and you should consider a replacement.
having said that- be very careful with jumping from one shrink to another. you should stick with one person enough time that will let them establish a good and trustful relationship with you.

Your shrink isn't God. If you feel the need to discuss what went wrong, then of course you should tell them what happened. You're paying for their services, and they're supposed to help you make better decisions, NOT judge you based on whether or not you take their advice- that's what parents are for. ;)

if it's not a life or death situation, you shouldn't be worrying about it.
