I've gone to ever state and countless cities .I was told not to say anything ( example NY ) . Well , I'm an out going person so that never happened .I talked to anyone / everyone and made great friendships .I live in a big city and have been told how horrible the people are and @$^ , we'd welcome out of state people and are friendly .Smile and ask , We'll stop and try to help .I took this behavior with me and people in some places have their guard up more than other places But all places have friendly people in them .You just have to treat the city like HOME ! I'm from a little of everywhere , come visit us .

Hawaii. I've travelled to most of the states, and no other state comes close in my opinion.

California, hands-down.

And we're politically correct too. We don't call people "Oriental"; we say "Asian." We don't call people "Mexican"; we say Hispanic (unless they're rilly born in Mexico). We don't call people "fat," just obese, or "metabolically challenged." We don't call people "illegal"; they're just "undocumented." Short people are "vertically challenged." See? We're so friendly, huh? Maybe we won't insult you; we'll just find nice ways of saying it so as not to hurt your feelings.

Now run along, dork! (Just kidding!) =D
