germans do not even sing their national anthems for fear of being called nazi. they still feel ashamed of their past. do americans or the world see german as nazi? this question is not meant to offent just honest answers please!

I don't see Nazis as a people or nation .Nazi is a political-religion ,or an idea.People were angry with Germany because everyone knew what the Nazis wanted and believed in yet still accepted it.There were and are Nazis in almost every country.Like biggotry itself being a Nazi is a state of mind and a belief system(although really screwed up)

I don't think so. In fact, it seems that the Germans feel more hated than they really are. I've met a few Germans, and I've talked to a few. They always seem a bit defensive when talking to Americans. But they are not considered Nazis or hated, not at all. Remember that many, many Americans have roots in or around Germany. Americans tend to be open to just about every culture because of how diverse America is. It's an immigrant nation.

Generally, Germans are embarressed about the situation of the war, and do not like to talk abou this. They are very self-contious of what happened and ten dto feel guilty and that people dislike them in some way for the past.
I have never met a German that could be considered a Nazi. That said, there are extremists in every country, and they are often referred to, and call themselves, sympathisers of the Nazi ways.
If I did ever hear someone refer to Germans in general as Nazi's I would have an overwhelming desire to spit on them, because they would be most disgusting to me.

I don't think of Germans as Nazis. Granted, I'm not too familiar with Germany and it's people, but I haven't seen anything to make me feel that way.
