J.K. Rowling. She was a single mother turned into billionaire who got millions of kids interested in reading. And she gives money back to both MS research and to promoting literacy in developing countries. I can't imagine a more successful and powerful female role model. And her writing is phenomenal.

I would have to say my friend James he is also my roommate. He has taught me to be more open minded and not to judge a book by its cover. Along with a lot of other stuff.
