ABC said that her popularity went way down with viewers because she asked for all that free stuff for her wedding and did not want to admit that she lost all that weight through surgery. She was not supposed to make the announcement until Thursday about leaving the show. Star did a interview on with People magazine saying that her contract was not renewed and she felt like she was fired.

Rosie O'Donnell has been signed on to take Meredith Viera's place on The View. Back when Starr lost weight, Rosie went on her website and on tv and lashed out at Starr and told her to admit that she had gastric bypass surgery and didn't lose weight by JUST exercise. Ever since then, they two have hated each other. Well, they signed on Rosie and apparently they did not renew Starr's contract. She was supposed to make the announcement at the END OF THE WEEK that she will not be returning next season - but she surprised EVERYONE including Barbara Walters by making her announcement yesterday. Then she went on to other interviews lashing out at The View and Barbara Walters saying that she felt like she got fired. The View got upset that she announced it too early AND spoke negatively about the show and cast that they abruptly "let her go" the very next day.

Just to clear up a point Rosie O'Donnel DID NOT replace Star Jones. She replaced Meredith. Starr threw a tantrum. Not sure if she was fired or quit or a combination of both. But she won't be back on The View. And in a few months noone will even remeber her other than she was the catty woman who quit in a 2 year old tantrum.

She has the 'Michael Jackson Complex'! She's thinkin', "Well, since I hang around all these rich white people I guess I'll try to fit in and go through all these special procedures so that they'll accept me!" Ha! Not! If Starr Jones would have remained as she was - she'd probably still have a position at 'The View'. After she went through all of those changes, the mother 'Alien' wouldn't have even used her for an incubation chamber! I've learned a lesson, be happy with who you are, no matter what anyone thinks! -believe in yourself.

Rosie O'Donnell did not replace Star Jones. Rosie is replacing Meredith Vierra (sp?).
After Star lost a LOT a weight, and looks like hell now, she talked a lot about diet and exercise and all that. Rosie made remarks about how Star neglected to mention that she'd had bariatric surgery and it was not simply the diet and exercise the helped her lose the weight.
Star refuses to work with Rosie and is leaving before the big cat fights begin. I'm betting Star threatened to leave if Rosie was hired thinking they'd not hire Rosie. Oops! Her plan backfired and they hired Rosie anyway. There would still be five women on there.
Now Star is leaving and making it plenty clear that it's because Rosie is coming on board.. Replacement for Star has not yet been named.

Starr Jones' contract for The View was not renewed by ABC so she announced on the show that she would not be returning next season. Then the next day her name was taken off the opening and Barbara Walters told her she was fired.

Society doesnt like anyone that has self confidence.....whether you've always had it or you got it due to gastric bypass surgery...
She likes who she is so naturally they are gonna HATE!
Starr was already an Azz...with her degrees and status, but now she's thin...and is really not takin stuff from anyone....I wouldnt either.....STOP HATIN ON HER ROSIE!!!! LOL
Now I will never watch the view....Rosie is entirly too loud and she get was too personal with everything...
