well I dont know how old you are but I might try getting good grades before asking. If that doesnt work, do all your chores and save up your own money, they should be so flattered that they should buy you a new one.

If you are at least a tween or a teen, explain (nicely!!!) that they are almost essential for safety reasons. There are several prepaid non-contract services (T-Mobile being the best currently)
and several low priced phones (you don't need all the bells and whistles yet). Disney is even coming out with a kids line, if it isn't out as I speak (type?- what ever). Though since you have to be at least 13 to be here, that would be more of a novelty as they are geared to "Kid" kids.

If you are not driving yet, wait until you are driving on your own. If you don't get one when you get your license, run out of gas. When they find you along the road hours later, tell them you were afraid because cars were passing you real fast and you thought about how hard they would have hit you if they accidentally left the road at the wrong time.
