A crossroads moment....which way do I go....LOL
Make that arrow sign at the top North and South...
North is logic based....South is logical Now you know the sun rises in the East and you know that it sets in the West....your logic base knows this....When it as we know it is an every day thing we know it to be logical.....and then teleport the sun back and start over again..only to watch those ducks fly south for the winter....Knowing you are having the best human experience that one could have...logically..

Well, you could put anything religious aside as being neither "logic-based" nor internally logical (e.g. the character of God changes at least four times in the Old Testament, and once again in the New). What we believe usually measures the perimeters of our ignorance as much as anything else. Inside that perimeter we can make "logic-based" decisions, but only to the degree we have information, and we never have all of that. Much of what we think we "know" is illusion, or mistaken (e.g. it's a flat world, or the market is a level playing field) - clinging to it without question only creates delusion which is always misleading. It is therefor logical to avoid belief. All we have is curiosity, observation, reflection, and the courage to act as best we can and respond to the results. Curiously, I think that requires "faith" which is not what the religious think it is. They mistake it for merely some kind of belief, which is quite different. Belief is trust in some fixed idea. "Faith" is a kind of entrustment of self, to life and the haphazards of the universe. It has no presumptions, no expectations, simply the will to live, to seek insight, and act, accepting that we don't know all the questions, let alone the answers.

Very good question since most of the people of the world follow some form of religion which has absolutely no basis in reality or logic.
Religion, by definition is accepted on Faith only. There is no proof but what people believe.
For example, let's say as an atheist I don't believe Jesus was the son of god. But I can believe that there was a man called Jesus that did exist in history.
Now, some people who read that would probably so that makes no sense. How can you believe in Christ, but not the god part.
Well, you can thank the Romans for that. The Romans were very meticulous about keeping accurate records. There was a trial presided over by the Roman Pontius Pilat, who was made governor of Judea. And it was over a Jew who was accused of heresy, and for being the supposed messiah and son of god.
Whether this man was Jesus or not is open to interpretation.
Logically we could make the assumption he was Jesus, but not about him being the son of god.
I hope that helps.

I may be wrong altogether, but from my experience, most of us humans are not that logical even though we think we are. If we were logical then we would not be doing things we know is wrong or not correct. Take for instance, smoking cigarettes; logic says it is harmful yet do we follow it logically????? On the other hand we as humans live more on reason and we reason to ourselves - "Smoking is bad so what I love it so I am going to do it".
Simply put we rationalize and that is what makes us special.

actually, a lot of our decisions we make based on logic are flawed.
in most cases, not all the data is in yet. or we've started with a biased agenda. or we've let the information get tainted by personal experience.
as long as there is a human element, there will be shades of gray, and starting from a clean slate is impossible.
so really, logic-based decisions are fraudulent.

The basis of logic-based logic is always logical if it is really logic based and thats what makes it logical.
