Nanook from the North? I just answered someone else's question and it reminded me of this guy i was talking to on-line from Thailand who seriously though we all lived in igloos... And yes, I am a proud Canadian

im a proud Canadian too, and while in Hawaii in the late 80's we encountered many ppl who asked us if we lived in igloos and rode dogsleds to work!
sheesh! i said no we live in houses and drive cars and work in towers and stuff too...good grief... do us Canadaians think all hawaiians live in huts and wear grass skirts all day?
nooo. but then- we are a smart bunch over here int he north :)

Don't feel bad, I live in South Dakota and I have met people that think we ride around town on horses all the time and that we do nothing but farm! I am 26 and have rode a horse twice, and have never lived on a farm!

My MIL thinks all Alaskan's live in igloos and are eskimos... I'll have to ask her what she thinks about Canadians.

I have been to Canada and everyone looked the same as in the U.S. and I didn't see any igloos

Who the Hell is this guy Canada? People in the Detroit area think they live in tropical splendor since most live south of US. The Windsor area/ Essex county is south of Metro Detroit

No, that's just Eskimos who live in Igloos and eat whale blubber, isn't it??? I don't think they all look alike though, it's just those fur trimmed parkas they all wear.

Of course they don't! They all wear jeans and red lumberjack shirts and live in log cabins. Everyone knows THAT!
(And all Yanks are fat, wear bermuda shorts, and cook over barbeques in back of their suburban split levels.)
