I think Metallica. Because their impact was so inspiring. I know Black Sabbath invented heavy metal, then motorhead took it to a level. Then Metallica helped metal explode. I know people only like the first 3 records, i understand why. Because they had Cliff Burton as bass. Let me say that he is one of the greatest bassists of all time. He still inspires young bassists and musicians to this day. Plus Metallica was so dynamic and different. The broke out of the norm. Because when they started people put them in the catagory,"Thrash Metal." Due to their fast-paced speed. But then they did what upset some fans, they wrote a slower, more melodic song(Fade to Black). I think that its stupid for people to think of bands as their property. Like some fans think they single handly control the band. Metallica didnt care, they did what they wanted. Now with the latest cd St.Anger they have lost alot of fans because its not in their boundaries where the fans feel safe in. Plus they have written some of the greatest music ive ever heard. They'll always be #1 to me no matter what ANYONE says.

Antion. He used to be in the group "The Animals", can't remember his name then but has since changed it to Antion. He makes amazing music, very spiritual, ethereal, tribal etc. on the island of Kauai now, has some CDs out. His best one is called "One in the Goddess". It is so beautiful that it is bone chilling.

All time favorite is Nirvana.... so sad that we lost them way before their time. Kurt Cobain was a great musician, and the band, in my opinion, helped pave the way for the rock that we listen to now.
