He may be overweight but he's still the best striker in the world. He's complete world class scored most goals ever in the world cup. Barely moved in the world cup yet got the ball and was magic so he shouldn't retire.

Yes mate, there was a lot of Ronaldo bashing going on,
But he has shut all his critics up now.
It was strange he was getting this abuse in the first place, because Ronaldo has played his Football this way for the last 5 years at Real Madrid, But give him the ball and he will either score or create goals for any team he is in

I agree. He does look kind of fat, out of shape, a little slow but he is still able to score a goal when need be. I think that this will probably be his last World Cup appearance. I don't think he'll be in the next World Cup in 2010. It's highly unlikely that we'll see him there. As for whether or not he retires, it's up to him but I think that he should.

He is the all time leading scorer in all world cup competitions
he already has won the world cup and i believe you will eat those words by the end of the world cup,He is over weight but still has scored more than Ronaldinho and assisted more in this world cup, He is a big game player(hatrick against ManU this season)
Old trafford clapped him off the pitch!
Still quality will score vital goals in on the big days!

Very simple:
2006 Word cup 3 goals (average 0.75)
Record on World Cup scorers (15 goals)
What else to say?
Brasil has not played well, yet Ronaldo is performing better than the superstar (for real) Ronaldinho.
If one love soccer, he/she cannot complain about Ronaldo!

Well, even that Ronaldo is alittle fat but he is also marvelous player & know when he score and how... As many people say that Ronaldo is ocasions player, realy he acreative player, I was always say that Ronaldinho will be creative at The FIFA WORLD CUP matchs but he seems that he isn't so , and it is for my sorrow to say this

Christiano Ronaldo? or the real Ronaldo? real: know when it's time. Christiano: Just like Joe Sackic, overrated and does nothing for the regular season team, but sure he can go do good for international play.

He may have put on a little weight but I think he has proved that he is still world class and they would never have played him if he was that unfit. Age-wise he will probably have to retire soon though
