Because you don't have oil, money, or political power. Politics have become a brotherhood of the wealthy and powerful and have little to do with the actual good of the people.
Just like the police are supposed to be "to serve and protect", we are all breaking down into "gangs" if you think about it....
The ultimate answer must come from within.
Your community needs to find a way to believe in itsself and produce solutions to your own problems.
Or you can take over all of the foreign aid charities or benifactors...just kidding.
Ask yourself this...why are there so many different organizations willing to help foriegn interests and not domestic ones? Why are the stars adopting overseas????

The Bush administration deceived and lied the country into attacking Iraq, cynically exploiting the terrorism of 9/11 to launch a conflict long on the schedule of neocons which contain Cheney and Wolfowitz. Bush's professional-conflict propaganda labored so properly that even immediately better than a million/2 of all individuals wrongly have confidence that Saddam had WMDs and became in the back of 9/11.The Bush administration produced hundreds of pretend information memories that have been aired on television around the country as information, constituting what the GAO, the investigative arm of Congress, calls unlawful 'covert propaganda.'"

Dude, the ghetto is the ghetto. It's not because of the damn president, so grow the hell up. It's because of the people IN THE GHETTO. I was raised poor, but I'm not poor now, and I didn't have to sell crack or whatever to do it. It's up to YOU to work, to improve your situation, and eventually get the hell out of the poverty cycle - and it's not Bush's fault if you haven't yet figured that out.
I wonder - What exactly do you expect the president to do? Are you old enough to remember all the failed government projects in the 70's? All the things Carter thought would "help the ghetto"?

George W. Bush claims to want to help the poor, but it's not true. He's always been about making the rich richer. There's not really much you can do, though. Unless you've suddenly gotten a fantastic job to where you can move out.
Alright, I bashed Bush a bit, but really there's not much he can do. No matter where you are, there's going to be drugs. Maybe not as many dealing, but they will always be near. If it's taken from one place, it will move to the next. It's like a cancer, it's too well developed to completely irradicate. (I think I deserve some applause because I thought up all of that and I'm only 14 years old)

The wealthy and powerful only help each other. They can't fix what's always been our human plight because no-body has the answers. We have to do it on our own and forget the politicians. Starts with your neighbor, and love and peace grows, on and on until it engulfs an entire neighborhood. Esier said than done. We need new ideas. Politicians are still using old solutions which have time and again proven to be useless in the long run. Rome fell for the exact same reasons all great civilizations fall. The US is being bombarded on every front and will , like all other great countrise before it, disappear. You can se it happen every day. It is decaying from within due to politicians and their EGOs and ourselves for not standing up for ourselves and neighbors.

You don't want the goverment in this because then you would have a marshal law thing like in iraqgoing on in the "ghetto" the best thing is to break the cycle example:
don't sell drugs or use them no supply no demand
no drugs no need for heavy weapons
no drugs no wild gangbangs no aids
no drugs people would go to work. what i mean is everyone wants to get paid alot right now. you can't make a grand a day at a mill or plant or store clerk. that is the answer break the cycle of something for nothing

I think you need to address your question to the politicians you voted for. The politicians I voted for don't want to contribute any additional tax money for this purpose. Funny all the Kerry supporters coming back to Bush for help. You have to be with the winning team to get the benefits. How politics works. Who gets what where and how?

I already see people saying that it is because the white man is trying to keep a black man down, when the person asking the question stated he is WHITE so stop with the racial angle.

Because Al Sharpton and Jessa Jackson, your victimhood pimps are taking all of the money and paying off their mistress whores. Take it up with them and that lunatic Shabazz. Maybe if you got rid of them, some of that money would actually make it to your communities.
